For Lawrence “Viper” Finkle, hockey isn’t just a sport, it’s a way of life. Since the first time he stepped onto the ice at just eight years old, he knew what he was meant to do, and he does it well. When his career takes an unexpected hit, and his relationship is pushed to the breaking point, he’s left sidelined and wondering what his future holds.
Just when he’s sure things can’t get any worse…they do.
Can Viper pull himself together in time to save his career, his girl, and his sanity? Or will he be permanently benched?
Beth Ehemann has done it again. I am a bit of a picky reader and can be hard to please, and Ehemann has written some of my favorite books so she really had her work cut out for her. She exceeded my very high expectations.
Reading Wild Heart was effortless. It flowed so well and I was drawn in right from the beginning. I love Viper’s character so I was really excited to get even more of him. Just like her other books, the characters, dialogue, and story all feel organic. Nothing ever feels forced or unnatural and it really serves to draw you entirely into the story.
Michelle is a very likeable character and your heart can’t help but go out to her for all that she’s been through. I loved getting to know her even more and watching their relationship evolve.
I felt a full range of emotions throughout the entirety of this book and read the last page with my heart full. I’m so pleased with this book and can’t wait to read her next one. Do yourself a huge favor and read Beth Ehemann if you haven’t already. She will steal your heart every single time.
