Liam Quinn is talented, gorgeous, and one of the biggest movie stars in the world.
He's also the only man Elissa Holt has ever truly loved.
After being out of her life for six years, he and his gorgeous fiancé are set to star in the new Broadway show Elissa is stage managing. The only trouble is, when late night rehearsals bring Elissa and Liam together, the line between what is and what could have been gets blurred, and one moment of weakness will lead to a scandal that echoes around the world.
Elissa knows that falling for Liam again would be a tragedy in the making, but as any good romantic will tell you, love doesn’t always follow the script.
His world is full of movie premiers and parties. Beauty and glamour. I spend most of my time in the dark. I’m the person who controls the spotlight, not the one standing in it.
Wicked Heart is my favorite book of 2016 so far! I always get slightly nervous to read a book that I’ve been eagerly anticipating because I’m afraid that it won’t live up to my own inner hype but Leisa Rayven knocked it out of the park.
Oh, Leisa, how I love thee. She’s so funny and witty and she creates characters that make me swoon hard. I think I love Liam more than Ethan and that’s saying something.
Elissa is so awesome. Her inner monologue is hilarious and she’s always thinking and saying things that I can completely relate to. She feels very real and down to earth, which I think made me feel her heartache even more profoundly. I felt like I was Elissa. Or Elissa was me. Something like that.
Either way, I also fell head over heels in love with Liam, from the very beginning. He’s sexy, smart, funny, and sweet. He’s the total package. Until he breaks your heart. But that means he gets the chance to piece it back together again, and boy does he ever.
I highly recommend this book. You absolutely cannot pass it up. It has everything and accomplishes all of it so well. I laughed out loud, got increasingly angry, irrationally jealous, had to stop and fan myself, and swooned so hard it’s a wonder I didn’t break anything.
I’m off to order the paperback because I need to have a copy of it on my shelf!
