These Royals will ruin you…
From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.
Broken Prince could easily be my most highly anticipated book this year. I was practically foaming at the mouth waiting to get my hands on it. So, let’s start with an answer to the question that everyone wants to know. Did it live up to Paper Princess? Yes and no.
Let’s start with the ‘no’ portion. It didn’t keep me nearly as engaged as the first book did. I was much more bored of Ella and Reed’s relationship this time around. They’re simultaneously immature like high school kids and too mature to be high school kids, if that makes sense. Some of the back and forth and things they say and do fit completely. Totally immature. But then there are these things that happen and situations that they get themselves into that no high school kid in the world is dealing with. Granted this isn’t your average family and these aren’t your average kids, but sometimes it’s a little difficult to reconcile.
However, the intrigue in this book is off the charts. It ends in an even more epic way than the first one did, which I did not think was remotely possible. These cliffhangers are of epic proportions, people. You’ve never experienced a cliffhanger like an Erin Watt cliffhanger. I have so many questions and I’m dying for the next book!
Even with my hang-ups, which really could have also applied in the first book, I can’t recommend these books highly enough. This series is crazy interesting and mind boggling. The drama is delicious and never ending. I completely devoured this book, just like the first one and once again, I’m left salivating for the next one.
Erin Watt is a really great writing duo and I hope that they continue to write together even after this series. They’ve done a fantastic job. I can’t wait to continue this rollercoaster!
